Untamed
by Glennon Doyle
"Perhaps for us, the deepest truth is not what we can see but what we can imagine. Perhaps imagination is not where we go to escape reality but where we go to remember it. Perhaps when we want to know the original plan for our lives, families, world, we should consult not what’s in front of us but what’s inside us." p. 65-66
I’ve recommended Untamed to so many fierce folks in my life but when I did, I either blathered about its many shiny epiphanies or I simply sent them a copy. Now I feel like I lack the ability to give it justice with the brevity required here.
Quite simply, Untamed is a compilation of stories written by one woman that embodies the overt and subliminal conditioning that indoctrinate us all in layers and in tidal waves. Read this book to challenge the framing of your own knowing, and emerge feeling lighter and brighter for it.
I support indie bookstores—the link above will take you to a store that I support. I do not receive any perks for this; it's merely a suggestion and my way of paying it forward for the bookstores that do good.
